In 2010, I solved unemployment by hiring me; created a cornbread career based on grandma’s secret recipe. I was fortunate to launch CornbreadMillionaire.com with help from local and national media attention. My goal at the time, was to recover my foreclosed home at the auction, with proceeds from sales of my newly created products. Well, the bid went to another person with more cash. I kept my faith and made a fir decision to succeed as an entrepreneur. Not one to give up, I persisted in the face of bitter challenges that popped up AFTER I launched the business. Winners never, ever quit. Persistence wears down resistance. My product line, available exclusively on the website, features my newly designed inspirational greeting cards, postcards, and posters. Several include a delicious cornbread recipe. I’m currently pursuing exciting opportunities. For regular business updates and enlightening wisdom from successful entrepreneurs, please visit the blog page on http://www.CornbreadMillionaire.com. Together, let’s MAKE our dreams thrive.

Bev How do I get some cornbread!!!!!

    Jim

    • Hi Jim! How are you? Thanks for your interest. The cornbread can be shipped via two ways: eBook Homegirl’s Cornbread Sandwiches: Tasty Recipes & Wise Life Lessons ($10) or you can obtain a package of Bev’s Cornbread Mix. Just add eggs, buttermilk and bake! How did you hear about it?

    • Oh by the way, I’m getting requests to bake the cornbread in and ship it. Working on those details right now. I can bake it in a 10″ cast-iron skillet, pack it up and ship it off! Details posted shortly. Let me know if you’re interested. =)

I just heard the story about your cornbread on NPR’s Market Place Money, and I would love to buy some of your cornbread mix. How do I order it? Is there a spot on the blog to order it? BTW, I admire your Faith and your spirit.

  2. Bev –

You were featured on the Consumerist this morning. Congratulations and I wish you the best. Have you considered selling cast iron skillets with a cornbread mix/ebook as an option?

    Hey Beverly!

Have you set up a Facebook account yet so we can spread the word even more?

    • Hi Consuela! I the power of faith in the darkest storm of life I’ve ever been through. I’m a living witness that faith, as the size of a mustard seed, MOVES mountains.

Hi Diane! Working on adding the Facebook page to my existing Facebook page which can be accessed via cornbreadcupcake@gmail.com. I’ll admit I’m learning Facebook. Don’t know what I’m doing…having fun learning. =) Will keep you posted.

  4. Hi Beverly!

I am so impressed at your determination. But, I am wondering, how do I order your product? Do you have a place on your site to click to place an order? And, do you have a product list somewhere?

    • Hi Sally!

I’m walking and moving by “pure faith and trust in the Lord”. I’m a firmly believer He’ll see you through to victory…no matter how bad the situation looks. To order products, please log onto http://www.CornbreadMillionaire.com. No selling allowed on this WordPress blog. They’ll shut it down. (laugh).

  5. Beverly, you are an inspiration to so many! I wish you all the best in getting YOUR house back at the auction!! You are the American spirit brought to life!! God Bless. Dianne

  6. I heard about you on public radio. What is your dead line? How close are youto your goal? Will your mortgage holder allow you to use donations? I DON’T DO CORN BREAD.

    • Hi CA James,
The bank will not give the exact date of the sale nor the price for which it will be sold. I was told it was illegal.
However, a neighbor advised the bank sent people out to clean and get the house ready for “potential buyers” to look at it.
The property is valued at $156,500. I bought it in April 2006 for $134,000.

Why don’t you do cornbread? Have you ever tried it? Or, did you eat some that was gross? =)

  10. Hi Beverly,
You are such a beautiful lady, inside and out. Truly, living water flows from you. I am looking again at your website because I was just laid off, I don’t understand, I was the only one in my district making my goals for selling. Right now after a good long cry and reading that you are not going to leave your destiny in the hands of one employer, I am contemplating opening a business in ladies apparel, that is what I do best. I pray that all of us who are in need of inner strength would be filled with power from on high and set our faces like flint to not be detoured from reaching our goals and being kind to others along the way.
